DIY Mini-Christmas Trees with Kurin Refill

It’s the Christmas season yet again! What better way to enjoy the festive season than to upcycle your Kurin Refill pouches into beautiful little Christmas trees? We’ll show you how you can create your own with these two variations!

Here are the materials you will need:

  • 2-3 pouches of Kurin Refill
  • 1 ruler
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 pencil / any straight
  • 1 ball of clay, or an object that can fit 1 pencil
  • Optional: poster, acrylic, or glitter paint for decorating the tree

Option A: Circular Christmas Tree

Start by cutting 5 circles with these measurements:16 cm, 13 cm, 10 cm, 7 cm, and 4 cm.

Fold the piece of circular paper in half.

Fold the paper again in itself for 3 more times and snip off the pointed edge, just enough for the pencil or straight object to fit.

Do this for the rest of the circles.

You may do a concertina fold on the rest of the circles to give them extra structure!

Slip them one by one into a propped up pencil or stick.

Additionally, you can add a few decorations by painting or adding glitter paint! Here's a how our finished product looks like:

Option B: Origami Christmas Tree

This one’s a little tricky, so watch how we did the whole process with this timelapse video:
